Sessional Play Worker

**We’re looking for Sessional Playworkers – come and work for us in the summer holidays and beyond!!** 
 
We’re a staffed adventure playground in the heart of Lambeth — 1.25 acres of climbing structures, a five-a-side pitch, a pond and a bee apiary. Children come and go freely, choosing their own play and taking it as far as their imagination (and a bit of measured risk) will go.
 
You’ll work alongside our Senior Playworker and the rest of the team to keep the playground running safely and full of possibility. 
 
**What you’ll be doing:**
* Supporting child-led, freely chosen play across our outdoor space
* Helping to create an exciting and stimulating holiday programme
* Responding to children’s needs with care
* Keeping things safe, clean and running smoothly
 
Do you have a skill to bring? — carpentry, arts and crafts, gardening, sport, cooking, bicycle maintenance — we’d LOVE to put it to use on site.
 
**What we’re looking for:**
* At least one year’s experience working with children or young people
* A genuine belief in the value of play — for every child, every age
* Warm, respectful communication with kids and young people
* A commitment to inclusion, equality and diversity
* First Aid training (or willingness to get it) & Enhanced DBS certificate
 
Experience in an adventure playground is a bonus, but not essential.

💰 £14.80/hour (we are a London Living Wage employer)
🗓️ Our current opening hours: 
Half Term & Holidays APG: Mon–Fri 10am–5pm
Term time APG: After School Wed–Fri 3–6pm, Sat 11am–4pm
5 & Under Stay & Play: Wed-Fri 10am – 1pm
Not open on public holidays.
